| Basic Parameters |
| |
| |
Building Width (BW) |
| BW is defined as the distance from outside of eave strut of one side wall to outside of eave strut of the opposite side wall. |
Building Length (BL) |
| BL is defined as the distance between the outside flanges of end wall columns in opposite end walls. The length covers various bay lengths. |
End Bay Length (EBL) |
| EBL is the distance from outside of the outer flange of end wall columns to centre line of the first interior frame column. |
Interior Bay Length (IBL) |
| IBL is defined as the distance between the centre line of two adjacent interior main frame columns. Most common bay spacings range from 6 metres to 7.5 metres. |
Building Height (BH) |
| BH is defined as the distance from bottom of the main frame column base plate to the top outer point of the eave strut. When columns are recessed or elevated from finished floor, eave height is the distance from finished floor to top of eave strut. |
Design Loads (DL) |
| Unless otherwise specified, DL considered for Devashish Building Systems are designed for the following minimum loads: |
Roof Live Load: 0.57 kN/m2
Design Wind Speed: As per IS : 875 for location |
| Design for Snow Loads, Seismic loads, collateral loads or any other local condition need to be specified at the time of designing of the Building. Loads are applied in accordance with the latest American codes and standards applicable to Pre-engineered Metal Buildings unless specified otherwise at the time of designing of the Building. |
Roof Slope [x/10] (RS) |
| The angle of the roof with respect to the horizontal is termed as RS. The most common roof slope is 1/10. However, Building can be designed with any practical roof slope. |
